A 50-megapixel main sensor is not "more wells for night mode marketing." On LYT-L910, the useful story is single-exposure LOFIC HDR around 100 dB, quieter darks via UHCG, and a real 120 fps class at 12.5 MP you can hang a lens on.

Sony ships LYTIA L910 as a 1/1.28-type (12.49 mm diagonal), about 50 effective megapixels, stacked BSI, rolling shutter. Pixel pitch is 1.22 µm. Camemaker lists RGB Bayer, Raw 10/12-bit, MIPI CSI-2, CSP, and HDR. Sony targeted mass-production shipment for summer 2026.

LOFIC in one exposure

Multi-exposure HDR stacks frames over time. Motion and PWM lights turn that into ghosts and flicker. LOFIC (Lateral Overflow Integration Capacitor) holds overflow charge from the photodiode and expands saturation in one shot. Sony pairs it with TCG-HDR (three conversion gains from one exposure) and UHCG, and claims about 100 dB DR plus roughly 30% lower dark random noise versus LYTIA 828.

120 fps class, not invented 4K120

Sony's table puts 50 MP at 30 fps, 12.5 MP at 120 fps (60 fps in DCG-HDR / TCG-HDR with LOFIC), and 4K2K at 60 fps in both HDR modes after 2x2 bin. Camemaker's shop tags max fps 120. Use that as the library default. Do not invent 4K120 for this PN.
