A 50-megapixel phone sensor is not "more wells = better photo." On SC570XS, the useful story is how each 1.0 µm well handles bright and dark in one exposure, and how much power that costs in 4K.

Lofic HDR 3.0 in one pass
Multi-exposure HDR stacks frames taken at different times. Fast motion turns that into ghosts. Lofic HDR 3.0 is SmartSens's single-exposure path: high-gain, mid, and LOFIC readout fuse into one frame. Under their stated 20-bit, 1024:1 HG-to-LOFIC condition, they quote up to about 111 dB. Treat that as a datasheet number, not a brochure score.
AllPix ADAF mixes two PDAF modes. Full-pixel PDAF when light is poor (lock speed). Sparse PDAF (about 6%) when light is good (accuracy versus power). Plan AF around that split, not around a single "has PDAF" checkbox.

Noise, light, and focus
SFCPixel-2 is their sensitivity stack. Reported read noise sits as low as 0.82 e-, with sensitivity around 3574 mV/lux·s. That is the photon-budget side of a 1.0 µm pitch: small wells need quiet readout and real QE, or dusk detail dies first.
