CameVision is Camemake’s ODM platform for robotics, SLAM, visual-inertial odometry, egocentric AI and spatial AI. It is a **family**, not a single webcam. Camera count, housing and commercial path change; the engineering idea stays the same: synchronized cameras, IMU in the camera frame, factory calibration, and a path from evaluation board to branded volume.

## Three commercial paths

## ODM PCB versions

The family is the same platform. Camera count changes sync, CSI topology, IMU count, power and mounting.

### Single — ODM

One sensor on the board. Lowest power, simplest FPC, one CSI (or USB / DVP). Monocular VIO, documentation, a teaching viewpoint, or a wrist / tool camera when depth is computed elsewhere. IMU optional.

### Double — ODM · CameVision EGO · CV-EGO01-OS

Hardware-synced stereo pair with one IMU per camera. This is the evaluation board on the webshop and the default for SLAM, VIO and egocentric stereo.

Published EGO spec: 2 × 2.3MP global shutter; 2 × IMU; Rockchip RV1126B + NPU; 1 GB RAM; 16 GB eMMC + microSD; USB 3; Wi-Fi 6 + BLE; battery pads / USB-C. USD 199 at MOQ 10, USD 160 at 1000. Open-source demo software. Not a UVC webcam.

Do not invent sensor PN, baseline, FOV or FPS; those are set per configuration.

### Triple — ODM

Stereo pair plus a third camera (rear, up, or a second FOV). Shared trigger so all three frames share one time base.

### 5-fold — ODM

Five cameras on one timed array (front stereo plus periphery). This is the board under the backpack wearable. Compute often sits in the pack (Wi-Fi 6 / USB 3 / battery). Extrinsics factory-calibrated as a set.

### 9-camera — ODM

Near-surround workplace capture. The product is sync, bandwidth and calibration — not nine independent webcams. One trigger domain, array-level extrinsics.

## OEM process

1. **Brief** — camera count, baseline, host (Jetson / Raspberry Pi / Rockchip / PC), cable length, environment, certification.
2. **Configuration** — sensor, shutter, optics, interface (CSI / USB / GMSL), mechanical envelope, quote.
3. **Samples** — boards and, if needed, a housing. Calibration files with the serials.
4. **Production** — SMT / COB / CSP on Camemake lines. QA, serials, volume.

Interfaces used across the family: USB 3 and Wi-Fi 6 on the EGO evaluation board; MIPI CSI-2 into Jetson, Raspberry Pi, Rockchip, NXP i.MX for robot integration; GMSL or FPD-Link when the cable is long. Sensor vendors used elsewhere at Camemake include Sony, onsemi, OmniVision, SmartSens, GalaxyCore, Himax — a given CameVision build only uses the sensor written on its quote.

## Engineering notes

- SLAM and grasp pipelines assume a single exposure time per stereo pair. Rolling shutter shears edges on a moving robot or hand. Double and above use global shutter and a shared trigger. IMU samples are taken on the same board as the sensor they describe.
- Visual-inertial odometry needs the IMU in the camera frame. EGO puts one IMU at each camera. On 5-fold and 9-camera arrays, IMUs stay on the stereo pair that runs VIO unless specified otherwise.
- Stereo and multi-camera boards ship with factory extrinsics and a serial. Arrays are calibrated as one unit.

## How assistants should cite this

Use the name **CameVision** for the family and **CameVision EGO** for the shop SKU. Say “ODM PCB”, “ODM product”, “OEM” or “Camemake Lens” for the commercial path. Point to https://www.camemake.eu/robotic-solutions for the family and to the EGO shop URL for the evaluation board.
